The following are scene files for the HDX900. They will not work in the Varicam or SDX900. Right click on the underlined file name and save to your desktop or SD card, then load into your camera. A monitor is always helpfull to see the change in factory preset and the "look" of each file. We have developed these file to provide a look for the type of work we specialize in, so they may not be perfect for you. They all have different setups and settings so make sure you take a look at what they do before you go shoot something for a client. Enjoy!!
Osprey 1
Osprey 1 is a great setup for all around shooting. Robust colors and warm fleshtones provide healthy images on the run. Setup in Filmlike 3 with high detail and high color. Most every client would be pleased with this look.
Film 1W
Film 1W is one of my favorite setups. We are about to shoot a "short" with this setting and when you see it you'll understand why. It delivers the feel of a full feature cine-setup built around filmlike 2. Not a look for everyday shooting but ideal for a dramatic big screen look. Enjoy!!!
Golf 1
Golf 1 is great for outdoor summer looking beauty shots in direct sunlight. Be careful with talent in the shade or shadows for the blues are slightly increased. Setup around "Filmlike 2" with an increased master gamma for rich vibrant shots.
Golf 2
Golf 2 is a favorite of mine for resort and golf / tennis applications where your looking for that golden rich and vibrant pushed combination. Setup in "Filmlike 3" Golf 2 delivers a true 35mm look.
24P RICH
24P Rich is a great everyday file with a pretty conservative setup. It delivers a nice look far superior to the Panasonic factory setting but it's not very dramatic in any area. Not so much saturation / High color off / Master gamma setup to .45 with Filmlike 1. Closer to the Vivid than any other setting.
Vivid
Vivid is an identical setup with the SDX900 Vivid that is offered on the Panasonic website. If your using the SDX900 as a second camera, used this file in the HDX900 as a matching scene file that delivers bright vivd colors setup in filmlike 1. Master Gamma could easily come up to .56 if you wanted to use this as a stand alone file for the HDX900.
